Meet Gary Key

Major Gift Strategist & Fundraising Trainer

Gary Key has been a core and well-loved trainer at The NPL Learning Center© assisting the NPL team with topics of organizational planning, major-gift fundraising and persuasive communication. He is particularly adept at working with international clients and boards with diverse backgrounds.

Gary currently serves as Chief Development Officer for Haggai International. During his 38-year career, he has worked with a variety of nonprofit organizations, leading efforts to improve fundraising, communications and marketing. Past positions have included Vice President Fund Development (Southeast Division) at American Red Cross, Vice President for Development Marketing & Communications for Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta and Vice President for Advancement for The Fund for Theological Education. He also served as VP of Institutional Advancement at Morehouse School of Medicine for 5 years and Assistant Vice President at Georgia State University where he contributed to the success of a $95 million campaign. Collectively, Gary has helped raise more than $250 million. He moved to Georgia in 1998 from Southern California, where he served for 18 years in numerous development positions, particularly in health care.
