Center for Disease Control
The Centers for Disease Control incubated a startup initiative called the National Forum for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention in coordination with The American Heart Association.
They needed guidance on how to structure the initiative so it could stand and operate independently.

Our Role
Over 1-Year Engagement
NPL was engaged to study the program and to help create a framework for the initiative including legal incorporation, independent governance, operating structure and sustainable fundraising. We gathered leaders of the CDC, the American Heart Association and The National Stroke Organization to evaluate each party’s role in achieving these goals and then provided appropriate training to support the transition.
In addition to this initiative, the CDC also hired NPL to help create a strategic plan for an adolescent health awareness program centered around risks associated with smoking and drinking. This program was intended to be implemented across several CDC divisions.
Let’s create an impact together.
